Two killer cuts from one of Anjunabeats most prolific artists, ‘XO’ and ‘First Mind’ is the latest double header from the UK’s Damion Houchen aka Genix. Fresh from his chart topping ‘Black Water’ release alongside label mate Sunny Lax, Damo’s latest solo venture are two club orientated records you can expect to hear on his forthcoming US tour.
A brash dance floor record, the raw energy and tribal feel to ‘XO’ has already made it a favourite in the sets of Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren. With percussion heavy counter riffs propelling the record to a vicious climax, ‘XO’ is a peak time summer groover.
A more classic Genix affair, ‘First Mind’ is a masterclass in combing positive chord progressive with a deep club groove. With plucky melodies continuing to bubble away throughout the record, this is yet another polished release from one of the scene’s most consistent artists.

Lovely stuff!
Genix and Oliver Smith are the best producers in anjunabeats. They should make a song together sounding similar to Mike Koglin & Genix - Dyno or anything will be convincing as long as its them :P. Tell them Above & Beyond! My request for anjunabeats vol 13!!! Would be dope. They will both keep anjunabeats alive. Just some advice ;). Oliver Smith - Mirage is mind blowing! Sunny Lax is awesome too. Nick Sember is stepping it up as well. Anjunabeats vol 13 should also be vol 9/10 style HEHEHE, loved those two.
This is the Genix we all know and love. First Mind has a beautiful melody, and appears to my ears to be the follow up to 'Run' that I so craved! 😊
